Charles Beck in the cellar
They have always grown their vines on the hills; they are harder to cultivate, but produce very ripe small grapes and fruitier wines ! That is why we now own a large place of vines on the “ FRANKSTEIN ” hill, classified as GRAND CRU, and on the other hills above Dambach, such as Breitstein, Lanzenberg, Frauenberg.

Florian BECK-HARTWEG is a wine producer in Dambach-La-Ville, Alsace, France. Dambach, a medieval town nestling among vineyards, has a longstanding tradition of producing wine. Yvette, Michel and their son Florian cultivate vines according to the family tradition, handed down from father to son (or daughter) over several centuries. Yvette has managed to trace the family-tree, -or should we say “family- vine”- back to 1590, over 14 generations. generations. The Becks were already established in Dambach, in those days. The family was large and they were all wine producers, of course!
From1956, Charles and Marie-Louise BECK bottled their wines themselves and sold them directly to private customers. Their daughter Yvette and her husband Michel have since taken over their work. In 2009, Florian BECK-HARTWEG took over the winery after finishing his studies in viticulture, oenology and international marketing . He completed two work experiences, one in Miami, Florida and one in Germany on the wineproducer's estate Seelbach-Oster in Mosel. We want to remain a family business, working in our vineyards, producing our own wines and developing personal relationships with all our customers.
